Host Family Program
Policies
I. Assignments
The families participating in our program have been carefully selected; therefore, we are sure that you will be well taken care of. The selection of your host family has been made, as far as possible, according to your interests and preferences. However, we cannot guarantee that you will be compatible in all respects. You must bear this in mind, since living with a family involves adjusting to different habits and life styles.
IMPORTANT NOTE: BEING IN A WALKING DISTANCE IS NOT A REQUIREMENT FOR OUR HOST FAMILIES SO YOU CAN EXPECT THE POSSIBILITY OF HAVING TO TAKE A PUBLIC BUS FOR TRANSPORTATION TO THE UNIVERSITY.
IMPORTANT NOTE: PLEASE HAVE IN MIND THAT BEING PART OF THE HOST FAMILY PROGRAM WILL DEMAND FROM YOU ADAPTATION TO OTHER LIFE HABITS SUCH AS FAMILY RULES AND DAILY DIET. PLEASE HAVE IN MIND THAT YOU CAN FIND MEAT, CHICKEN, PORK OR FISH ON THE DAILY MEALS PREPARED BY THE HOST FAMILY AND THAT YOUR FAMILY WILL NOT NESSESARY ADAPT TO SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS. IN CASE THIS REPRESENTS ANY HARM TO YOUR HEALTH OR ANY INCONVINIENCE WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND ANOTHER HOUSING OTPION SUCH AS THE RESIDENCE HALLS.
