ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Applying to Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Monterrey – None- degree seeking International Program – is very simple, please determine the type of student you are, Exchange or Independent Student:
Exchange Students:
Students applying through an existing exchange between the student’s home university and Tecnológico de Monterrey, you must be nominated by your exchange program office or similar. In most of the cases, the student will pay tuition directly to their home university.
Independent Students:
All those students applying directly to Tecnológico de Monterrey, no exchange program is needed. Students are required to pay tuition and services directly to Tecnológico de Monterrey.
EXCHANGE STUDENTS
- Fill a request for the Online Admission Application Form HERE
A) When selecting "Type of Admission" please select: Non degree-seeking student
B) When selecting "Campus of your Interest" please select: Campus Monterrey
After filling it you will receive by email (between 24-48 hours) your username, password and link to access the Online Application Form.

- Send authorization of your application by your exchange coordinator (official letter)

Send your most recent School Transcript with a minimum average of 80 (Mexican system) or GPA of 2.5 (USA system). Cases of average between 70 – 79 (GPA 2.0 – 2.5) will be considered at length.
We recommend to send documents by courier or express mail (Use DHL, UPS, FedEx, etc., please don’t use regular mail).
INDEPENDENT STUDENTS

- A non refundable Admission Fee of 100 USD that can be paid on any of the following methods:

HOUSING PROGRAMS
If you wish to apply either to Host Family or Residence Halls, send the following:
Host Family Program
- A short essay about family life style and habits.
- A non – refundable check for 100 USD as Program
Fee. This fee should be paid before your arrival.
Residence Halls
- A non- refundable down payment for 450 USD, to secure
your reservation. This fee should
be paid
before your
arrival.
Forms of payment for either case:
- Check from a US bank or from an International Bank with a partner in the US (the name of the US bank has to be printed on the forehead part of the Check)
- International Money Orders (Postal Money Orders are not accepted)
- American Express Traveler checks.
Note: Checks should be issue to ITESM
INTERNSHIPS PROGRAMS
If you wish to complete an internship, include the following along with your documents:
- Your resume in English and Spanish.
- A short essay saying why it is important for you to participate in the Internship Program.
Please remember to include the field in which you would like to complete your internship (i.e. Marketing, Sales, Human Resources, Planning, etc)
VOLUNTEER SOCIAL WORK
If you wish to participate in our Volunteer Social Work Program, include the following along with your documents:
- A letter explaining reasons to participate in the program and stating your commitment to work at least 100 hours per semester in this program. Please specify the area you prefer to work in.
UPON ARRIVAL YOU MUST HAVE
- Evidence of health insurance with coverage in Mexico. A copy of the policy or your insurance card will be sufficient.
- Student visa (FM3) for semester or trimester students or a tourist visa (FMT) for summer term. Students doing a summer internship will also require a student visa.
- A valid passport and proof of financial solvency, such as credit or debit card statements for the cards you will use while in Mexico.
- Tecnológico de Monterrey's Spanish Placement Test if you wish to take courses in Spanish and are not a native Spanish speaker, and/or have sent your TOEFL/IELTS scores if you wish to take courses in English and are not a native English speaker.
