Biography: Alfonso Avila  is a Professor of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Tecnológico de Monterrey. Dr. Avila's research targets the design of memory systems of high-performance uniprocessors and the design and cosimulation of heterogeneous embedded systems.

Dr. Avila earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arkansas - Fayetteville in 1997, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from University of Arkansas in 1994, and a B.S.E in Electronics and communications from Tecnológico de Monterrey in 1989.
