Introduction

The MEMS Design Laboratory or MEMSlab is a facility for co-design of electronics and MEMS devices in a fabless environment in which students as well as faculty members focus on the design and development of their projects and the manufacturing of silicon wafers is outsourced to strategic foundry allies.

The MEMSlab was established in August 2003 and it is currently located in building A4-435 on the ITESM Monterrey Campus.

Although the MEMSlab is part of the Department of Electrical Engineering, it is a multidisciplinary facility that is associated with the Department of Physics, the Department of Mechatronics and Automation and the Department of Chemical Engineering to undertake collaborative research and educational projects in micro- and nanotechnology.
