Strategic Program in Net Shape Manufacturing

The Strategic Program in Net Shape Manufacturing is a multidisciplinary effort initiated by the Integrated Manufacturing Systems Center to impulse the competitively of the enterprise which process include Molding and Metal Forming. The program activities include companies that have process like injection molding, casting, stamping and glass blowing.

Benefits
The support to the manufacturing companies is made through projects of research and development, specialized services and training. This way, the companies develop their technology and also they develop their personnel. On the other hand, a lot of first degree and postgraduate students of Tec de Monterrey are involved in these activities and become in an important source of human resources with a technological orientation and practical experience. It is clear that the collaboration of companies in the program becomes in direct benefits in short time and produces specialized personnel which later incorporates into this manufacturing companies.

Justification
Necessity of outpost technology in the Mexican Industry of Manufacture (automotive, plastic, glass, mechanic metal).
Necessities of develop human resources to incorporate and to operate the outpost manufacturing technology.
Necessity of design and manufacture of dies and molds, within limitations in Mexico, because of:
a) Capital cost
b) Qualified personnel.
